To produce works that posses a unique quality that sets them apart from the mundane and ordinary that saturate our lives.
Its the unexpected results that come from experimentation that drive my designs. I don't enter a project with a hard and fast set of outcomes at hand. After 15 years experience with clay and 20 years in Design I now embrace the serendipity of the process.
I particularly love the process of collaborating with other artisans to explore the limits and opportunities of materials and to gain a broader understanding of how shit works in general. It all feeds the imagination.
I design, sample and produce almost all of my pieces however the sands are shifting and the future here is with experimental pieces in numbers of one if I have my way, and as Im a one woman show I don't think there will be too many arguments.
